Good to know
Why professional hard floor cleaning pays off
Natural stone, tiles and parquet are considered easy to care for – and yet their appearance changes gradually over the years. Every mopping leaves behind fine residues of care products that build up, layer by layer, into a grey film. Add to that walkways, discoloured grout lines and signs of wear in heavily used zones such as entrance areas and staircases. Routine maintenance cleaning can no longer reach these stubborn layers – what is needed is a machine deep clean that frees the floor of old dirt right down into the grout.
The key is a method suited to the material: calcareous natural stone such as marble cannot tolerate acidic cleaners, and oiled parquet demands a different approach than hard-wearing porcelain stoneware. That is why, before every clean, Clean & Fresh determines the material, sealant and condition of the floor and matches cleaning agents and machinery accordingly. The surface is thoroughly restored without damaging the flooring.
After the deep clean, we protect the floor on request with a finishing care treatment or sealant. This makes daily maintenance cleaning noticeably easier and preserves the freshly restored look for longer – whether in a private home in Cologne, in an office or in commercial premises. Your floor looks well cared for, high-quality and as good as newly laid.
Stone and parquet floor cleaning FAQs
Do you also clean delicate natural stone such as marble?
Yes – using acid-free methods specifically suited to calcareous stone. This keeps the surface protected.
Will the grout come clean as well?
Yes, discoloured cement grout brightens up considerably through the machine deep clean. We are happy to demonstrate the result on a sample area beforehand.
Is sealing worthwhile?
In heavily used areas, yes: it makes daily cleaning considerably easier and protects the flooring against new stains.
When can the floor be used again after cleaning?
In most cases very quickly – the exact time depends on the flooring and the chosen method. If a finishing treatment or sealant is applied, we tell you in advance exactly when the surface can take full use again.
Do you also clean commercial areas such as offices or entrance halls?
Yes, we clean hard floors in private homes as well as in offices, hotels and restaurants. We are happy to schedule appointments so that your business is disturbed as little as possible.
